OUR VISION
To bring together the voices of community investment in Canada.
OUR MISSION
To strengthen the capacity of our members to expand access to capital and support services for social economy enterprises and economically and socially excluded individuals and communities across Canada.
OUR COOPERATIVE STRUCTURE
CCINC is incorporated as a co-operative under the Canada Co-operative Association Act. A cooperative is formed by people who come together to meet their common needs. A cooperative is democratically controlled on the basis of one member one vote, and is guided by the international Cooperative Principles.
CCINC is a network of community investment organizations and programs working together to build the capacity of our members and to build a strong community investment sector through collective action and mutual support.

The Canadian Community Investment Network Co-operative has two network categories:
- Members
- Allies
CRITERIA FOR MEMBERS
The Canadian Community Investment Network Cooperative (CCINC) welcomes as Members all organizations with community investment programs that meet the following three criteria:
- The organization has on-going programs to expand access to capital and support services for social economy enterprises and economically and socially excluded individuals and communities;
- The organization makes capital investments in the form of credit (e.g. term loan, line of credit, or mortgage), guarantees, or equity for purposes that are consistent with the mission of CCINC. Patient capital in the form of grants may be one, but not the only, form of investment; and
- The organization has made or secured a minimum of one capital investment.
Each member is entitled to vote at member meetings on the democratic basis of one member one vote, and is eligible to have a representative stand for election to the Board of Directors.
CRITERIA FOR ALLIES
Allies are individuals and organizations that support the mission of the Canadian Community Investment Network (CCINC). They include, but are not limited to:
- Community investment organizations and programs in the start up phase
- Advocates, advisors, and providers of socially responsible investment opportunities, including community investments
- Providers of technical assistance and other capacity building services to social economy enterprises and excluded individuals and communities
- Community economic development organizations developing and incubating social economy enterprises
- Foundations and other philanthropic organizations and programs making investments in social economy enterprises and community investment organizations and programs
- Other networks
- Government departments promoting and advancing community finance and investment
Allies do not have a vote, nor may they be elected to the Board of Directors.

BENEFITS FOR MEMBERS AND ALLIES
- Receive notification of upcoming community investment events
- Receive invitations to CCINC networking events and learning exchange opportunities
- Receive CCINC newsletters, resources and related publications
- Work with other CCINC members and allies to build a strong pan Canadian network and community investment sector
PROCESS TO BECOME A MEMBER OR ALLY OF CCINC
Step 1: Review the criteria and decide if your organization would best fit in the Member or Ally category.
Step 2: Complete the application form and attach the most recent annual report and/or background information for your community investment program.
Step 3: Mail the application form and attachments to the address below.
Step 4: The Board of Directors of CCINC will review your application and determine your eligibility. The Board meets at least once every three months, usually much more frequently. We will notify you as soon as possible. Please do not send a cheque with the application. Your organization will be invoiced after the application has been approved.

CCINC reserves the right to deny applications that do not demonstrate a commitment to the mission of the network.
