George Brown, President, Ottawa Community Loan FundGeorge Brown serves as the Chair of the CCINC’s Board of Directors. He is a lawyer and social entrepreneur who works as President of the Ottawa Community Loan Fund (OCLF). Prior to this, George spent nine years as a City and Regional Councilor in Ottawa where he was chair of the City’s Economic Affairs Committee and the Region’s Environmental Services Committee.

Kellie Anderson, Momentum CalgaryKellie Anderson joined Momentum of Calgary (formerly the MCC Employment Development) in 1993 after having worked for a major bank as a loans officer for ten years. Momentum is a CED organization that delivers a variety of micro loans, training and savings programs using the sustainable livelihoods framework. Kellie has served as loan officer, loan manager, and now as associate manager of human resources. Momentum is one of Canada’s largest CED organizations with a staff of more than forty.

Priscilla Boucher, Vice-President Corporate Social Responsibility, ACU Assiniboine Credit UnionPriscilla Boucher joined ACU Assiniboine Credit Union in 2006 as Vice-President Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR), where she leads the credit union’s CSR and community investment strategy and initiatives.  Prior to ACU, Priscilla worked for more than 15 years at Canada’s largest credit union, Vancity where she led many of the initiatives that earned the credit union an international reputation as a leader in CSR, including Vancity’s Shared Growth and Shared World community investment products.  

Beth Coates, Financial Manager, Canadian Alternative Investment Cooperative (CAIC)Beth Coates has fifteen years experience as the Financial Manger of CAIC (Canadian Alternative Investment Cooperative), a faith based investment fund that has been providing financing to the non-profit sector including community loan funds across Canada for over twenty years. Beth is a chartered accountant who also has extensive experience as a financial analyst and business risk manager.

Karim Harji, Manager for Partnership Development, Social Capital PartnersKarim Harji is the Manager for Partnership Development at Social Capital Partners, a social finance organization which provides growth financing and advisory services to businesses that integrate a social mission into their operations. Karim is also a Senior Research Associate at the Carleton Centre for Community Innovation at Carleton University, and the co-founder of socialfinance.ca, a leading blog on how finance can be harnessed for social change.

Peter Hough, Financial Officer, Canadian Worker Co-op Federation and Fund Manager, Tenacity WorksPeter Hough is the Financial Officer of the Canadian Worker Co-op Federation and the Fund Manager of “Tenacity Works” the CWCF’s revolving loan fund. The Fund invests in new start-ups, expansions of existing co-ops and in conversions/successions. Peter has 20 years experience as a member, manager or director of worker and consumer co-operatives. He has assisted with many co-operative start-ups, and assisted with ongoing training and mentoring.

Roger SnellingRoger Snelling invested in the ACEM (Montreal Community Loan Association) sixteen years ago. He then joined the board of directors and has been its chair for the last nine years. He has served including the Canadian Alternative Investment Cooperative and The United Church of Canada Foundation. He worked at Canadian National for 30 years and was executive director of two United Church community ministries for 10 years.
